I watched the show…I go to the Fishball Noodle Shop frequently…for kinda donkey years liao…actually from MCS…near to Toa Payoh Interchange…take Bus 238 to the ez-link tapper shows Stage 3.0…then u alight,it’s Bus Stop at Blk 23, then u walk in and pass thru’ blk 23, then cross the road to Blk 20, Blk 22 is located there!!!And the Beef Noodle is just 3rd store after the market…Fish ball Noodle after the L-shape walk…

HeeHee, anyway what is the difference betwen Meepok and Meekia, both are still noodles. Juz kidding.
Not many stalls make good dry mee nowadays, a lot of imitations sometimes. Some claim theirs is the ‘zheng zhong’ or traditional recipe taste, but who knows. I think the only way to know is to try out yourself, and feel for yourself. Most food courts you see nowadays definitely have at least one of such noodle stall, but usually the rule of thumb is good mees cannot be found there. (There are exceptions of course.) I shall recommend those worthy that I have eaten before and personally feel that the mees are thumbs up. There is two in AMK central, one in S11, the other near the old bus interchange. Unfortunately, there are none in Sengkang, my hometown, becos maybe it is still a new estate, and all those ‘lao qiang hu’ noodle “cooks” are rare in a new estate.
Poor me, always have to venture to the old estates (like AMK, TPY, Geylang, Bugis etc.) in order to taste good food worthy of mention. Luckily, my mum is a fantastic cook, so whenever she cooks, I make sure I will not waste any of her hard work.

Hey Joanne,I have been eating that stall’s Fish Ball noodle.Since young for 15 years liao..I love their Mee Pok…quite shiok…if U match it with the Ba Pok…and btw i am the one who post the Direction to the stallsin the previous post….
actually the standard changes everytime…at random timing…bcos sometimes the soup is salty or no taste,fishball can be soft and hard sometime…it’s like this lah!

Thanks so much! I love to read, and I used to write down the words I don’t understand, check them up the dictionary and try to form a sentence with them.
I can’t advise you which book to read because it really depends on your comfort level. Generally, I read the newspaper, magazines, fiction and non-fiction books. Most importantly, if you come across something u’re not familiar with, find out its meaning and try to use it the next time if you can.
Read, write and speak more!

Hello Hui San,
Consistency is always better than last minute work. In secondary school, our Chinese teacher gives us so much Chinese homework （笔记）it’s probably the only homework we have at home that will see us doing till late at night. But it was good practice for us because everyday we will spend time doing Chinese homework. So for Chinese, I will say write more!
Are you better in Chinese or English?
As for English, read more and always try to look up unfamiliar words. When I was in school, I used to imitate the writing of my favourite author. NOT copy ah!! What I mean is if my favourite author writes about murder, I will try to add mystery and murder in my story idea when I write my composition. Another thing I do is to try and remember some interesting vocabulary and use them in my compositions, to score some bonus points.
Haha! Those were the days…:)
Hope it helps! Don’t worry too much and also don’t try to cram yourself with too many things. Must enjoy the process too! Jiayou!

Hi, Joanne.. well, really like the show <> alot.. all the actors and actresses acted superbly well.. A round of applause for that.. I also like the parts when kaiqi is with jin long. I could feel the love one could get from their siblings and families as i always wanted an elder or younger sister to dote on me and whom i can dote on.. Actually was feeling so envious bout it. Hahas.. However was really saddening when kaiqi have to say those harsh words and give that slap to jin long.. cause i often put myself into the character’s shoes.. If i were jin long i would have broken down.. Hahas.. This particular show really let me learned alot of precious factors in life.. Well done to all of you.. I’m looking forward for mediacorp and all the artistes to wrap up more of such exciting dramas and i believe the viewership would be high rising.. Jiayou bah !! Cheerios..

Yes I remember you, Jaqueline’s ur sister ya? Sorry for not replying you. As for your question, I can’t help you become an actress because there is no formula for being one. If you’re interested in acting, there are holiday workshops that you can take to understand a bit more about acting. Otherwise, there’s also the School of Arts where you can receive a formal education. But I cannot guarantee you will become one though.
I didn’t study with the intention of becoming an actress, so it was a combination of factors that got me where I am today, which I am grateful for. When you get a bit older, you will be in a better position to know what you want.
In the meantime, study hard!

Unfortunately not yet. Once I complete filming of the long drama in April, there will be shorter projects where the possibility of collaborating will be higher.
