sometimes it is easy to guess whether there will be a continuation of the mediacorp TV serial. You will see the pattern one, but of course there are rare exceptions. One sign you can watch out for is whether you feel or think that the plot of the story is not complete; somehow hanging in the air. That is the strategy most directors employ to let the audience wish for a 2nd part, and tada it comes out.

宝贝父弩兵 seems to me a complete plot, where the long-lost father and daughter finally meet up with each other, and together they recall the past beautiful memories when Chun Chun is young; and how they work hard for the future ahead together after so long. So unless there is a very creative director to think of more interesting plots to continue this father-daughter story, I feel it is not that likely to have a 宝贝父弩兵2. Sorry to spoil your high hopes, but my analysis is a bit quite true if you think through. :)
